Jamie Lumsden, a former participant with us in the program before Rusta och matcha - Stöd och matchning - is sharing his story, wishes for the future and best advices during the job search process.
Sometimes you may not be aware that there's help and support available - you don't have to do everything by yourself. Jamie started Stöd och matchning "because Arbetsförmedlingen told me that I had to" and look where we are today!
So tell me, what did you think of your experience with Karriärkonsulten?
Two things in particular were very valuable to me; my coach working with me to build my self confidence and helping me with my challenges. And the other was the help I got writing my computing CV, if it wasn't for that I wouldn't be where I am today. My coach believed in me when I didn't believe in myself.
"I want my future to be at Amazon. I see myself climbing the ladder and furthering my professional life at Amazon."
Sounds like good, and attainable, plans for the future! Do you wish to share any advice or revelations from your period as a job seeker?
The only piece of advice I can give is don't give up!
I really struggled when I was searching for jobs and going for interviews, even more so through covid times.
I nearly gave up so many times. But I stuck at it and I'm now in a job I love with colleagues that understand me for me and all my challenges.
